Hi Jp,

The new version of Bullet's website is a vast improvement over the old one, so well done for that.

I'm still curious as to your working practices "behind the scenes", particularly the involvement individual writers have with putting articles into WordPress. Over at The Linc almost all of our writers have their own WordPress accounts, so they do most of the initial work themselves (obviously people's competences differ, so what exactly has to be done by the senior editorial staff varies). The stories are then checked and published by the senior/section editors.

However, according to the Bullet RSS feed all of the stories are being posted from your own account ("jp"). Do your writers have any involvement in the WordPress backend? If not, are you planning to change this?

(For anyone else, here's what I mean:)

Best,

Rob

Thank you Rob for this very interesting read, I will note that I do agree with a few of the points you have made and I will say that I was brought on to work on Bullets online development in January of 2010 where I took down the old system (blogger etc) and worked from the ground up on the Bullet site using Wordpress as I've used it for a number of years now and it is a good CMS system, hopefully now the Bullet site is working towards a version that students and writers alike feel proud to log on to and read and interact with. By no means is the Bullet Online experience finished there are many more things to do. Thank you for your article.

Yours
