Using TextExpander with Quicksilver’s clipboard

Recently I bought TextExpander from SmileOnMyMac, and it’s a really great piece of software. It allows you to type certain abbreviations, which it then expands into a full word or phrase.

Spotify play/pause AppleScript

A snappier, but imperfect, script.

This script will either pause or resume the current track in Spotify, and then hide the window (and return you to the application you were using).

I use it with Quicksilver, in the same way you’d use the provided scripts for iTunes. Unfortunately Spotify doesn’t have the same kind of background access [...]

Using Readability with NetNewsWire

Most of my heavy reading takes place in NetNewsWire, so I’ve coupled up Arc90’s Readability bookmarklet with the application.

It’s for use when you have to open up an item in the built-in browser. For full-text feeds, I recommend Cameron Hunt’s Bullit.
